This is quite complicated and expensive procedure. Another problem is it can only be renewed for 3 years and then the person needs to leave Bulgaria.
-

Student at a Bulgarian University. The main problem is the residency can be only 6 months (for each semester). If the person has only 6 months residency permit he cannot receive permits for his family members (the legal requirement is minimum 1 year of residency permit). Another problem is that the student should reside in Bulgaria for at least 10 years instead of the regular requirement of 5 years so the person would be eligible for Permanent residency permit. This is visa for Bulgaria based on studying.
