Student at a Bulgarian University. The main problem is the residency can be only 6 months (for each semester). If the person has only 6 months residency permit he cannot receive permits for his family members (the legal requirement is minimum 1 year of residency permit). Another problem is that the student should reside in Bulgaria for at least 10 years instead of the regular requirement of 5 years so the person would be eligible for Permanent residency permit. And the most important is that it cannot be prolonged on another legal ground in future. This is visa for Bulgaria based on studying ONLY.

Blue card - this is a visa for highly qualified professionals hired by a Bulgarian company and the residency permit can be up to 5 years. It is very suitable for IT specialists for example.
